"Give me a home among the Gum Trees"

Gum Trees are great fun to play in.... You can swing on the bark like Tarzan. 

 

 Or climb up into the branches. 

Can you see that the other front tooth of Cameron's has finally fallen out? Much to his amusement, he can stick chips in his mouth now without opening his mouth! I think it makes him look cheekier than usual. He thinks he looks hilarious, and says when he look at himself in the mirror, he just laughs! (hopefully the gap won't be there for too long, we can see the new teeth already!)

There are lots of great parks with great paths for walking along the Yarra River near Nana and Pa's house. The kids have enjoyed speeding down the paths on these scooters

Scienceworks Melbourne

This museum was a lot of fun, lots of interactive things to do, and even got to race against Cathy Freeman (gee, she is quick!) The lightening show was fun, and loads of cool information about electricity.

   

Lots of fun things to do in the sport section  and the biggest sofa we have ever seen.

 

Alexander has no idea why these bikes were ever invented  

Cameron worked on his brick labouring skills, now he just has to work on the traditional "plumbers crack".

Crikey look what swam into the pond!

We went to Kelly and Theo's place today, and Kelly screamed when she saw this scaly creature in their backyard pond.

I bought this floating crocodile head from Beasley's nursery last week. We put it into the pond without Kelly seeing it. She screamed when she saw it. The kids thought it was hilarious. Now we just sit back and wait to hear Kelly tell us who else freaked out.

Down the back of Granma and Grampa's place, the kids learnt how to toast marshmellows.

The kids love seeing Auntie Louise and Uncle Travis on their property. 

They had a couple of pony rides, but first some grooming

 Phil and Louise saddled up and went for a ride in the bush. They saw some wallabies and lyrebirds.  

Some of the other horses came up to the fence for some carrots and to see what was going on (actually I think they only came because they knew Louise would have carrots)

While Phil and Louise went for a horse ride, Travis took the kids on the motor bike.

Bubble Explosion

This is what happens in the spa bath when you add more bubble bath mixture! 

We caught a certain blonde haired boy doing it the next evening, so that explained this sudden overflow!

Wandiligong Maze

Off to the Wandiligong Hedge maze, about a 10 minute drive from Bright.  We had lots of fun getting lost.  The boys had led the way all the time, and we eventually got out.  Cameron with one missing tooth at the top, and the next one is ready to fall out too!

River Walk, Bright

Every morning, the boys and Granma took Benson for a walk along the Ovens River bank, which is just at their back gate. There is a park along the way!

Sydney

Lawson Park, near Panania, on the bank of the Georges River...a great place to play

with some take away coffee and iced chocolates from Gloria Jeans! Yum!!
