Wertheim windows

These are the Christmas windows of the Wertheim department store in Berlin on the Ku'damm. I am not quite sure what to say about these ones.

At first I thought they were hideous. The second time I walked past then, I just thought they were plain funny. The third time, they are growing on me.

The blue mannequin reminds me of David Bowie as Jareth the Goblin King in the movie Labyrinth.

Cameron thinks the windows look disgusting (what great vocab, from the 7 year old), and Alexander thinks they look strange!

well, they look very interesting, sort of like different spirits of something. Or maybe you need to have some spirits to understand them?

The Nutcracker in Sydney's David Jones' windows looks marvelous! Paul & I stopped to check them out when we were there earlier in the week. I can't believe it's Summer there though, cos it was cold & windy with people wearing jackets. Our Brisbane return was a rude shock because it's quite steamy here at home.

Those window displays are a bit bizarre, but like a train wreck, I couldn't look away.
